Advance Agriculture / SRI
Traditional farming has been prevalent in the country for centuries. At
present, the problems of the farmers have increased due to an increase
in agricultural cost and decrease in production. The institution has been
constantly innovating in the agriculture sector. SIRD worked with 200
farmers in Balod district on paddy production through SRI method. In SRI,
double production was achieved by using better technology in less water.
SIRD is also helping farmers by training them on millet production and vegetable
production.
